Communion - The first Sunday of each month is communion at Salem Covenant during our morning worship. Each fourth Wednesday of the month, Pastor Steve and others of the church family give Communion to those who desire to partake at Oakland Heights at 1:00 p.m.
Vacation Bible School - For a number of years Salem Covenant and the Evangelical Free Church of Oakland have been joining together for Vacation Bible School. The two churches take turns being the host site. Check our calendar for the dates of the next VBS.
Summer Service in the Park - Appreciate the lovely Oakland City Park at our Summer Service in the Park. A reminder of days gone by of outdoor church services. We conclude the morning with hamburgers cooked on the grill. Many people then benefit from the park's recreational facilities for the afternoon. We get together again mid-afternoon for watermelon and fellowship. View the calendar for the next time planned.
Offerfest - Each fall the Salem church family celebrates all of the goodness, greatness and blessing we receive from God. We enjoy a meal together, served by the men of the church and a time of worship, led by the women. This year's date is on our calendar.
Working Together - The pastors of Oakland and the surrounding communities work together to proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ. The local pastors share together a time of enjoying great theological discussions as well as praying for our community.
Food Pantry - The second Saturday of each month Commodities and Food Pantry items may be obtained starting at 9:00 a.m. Government guides are followed to qualify for the commodities BUT not for the Food Pantry items. For more information contact us:
